The Four Words That Will Get You A Quality Used Toyota

driving toyota sedanWhen buying a used Toyota, you must take many things into consideration.  In order to make sure that you get the most for your money, here is a list of things to check out.

1. Fuel Economy

Pay attention to the fuel economy of your vehicle.  You may get it for a steal, but if it has poor fuel economy, you will pay for it every time you visit the pump.  Try to find a model with an EPA estimate of 30 MPG combined or better.

2. Price

Based on your budget, the price of the model can make a big difference.  Only you can decide how much you would like to spend on your next used Toyota.  However, make sure that you do not overspend and create a financial hardship for yourself.

Make sure to find out how much your monthly payments will be and if you will be able to afford them.

3. Resale Value

Depending upon the model you choose, the resale value will vary.  It is to your advantage to find a model with the highest resale value possible.  This however depends on how long you plan on keeping the vehicle.

If you plan on driving it into the ground, the resale value will be irrelevant.  On the other hand, if you only plan on keeping it for a few years, pay attention to its resale value.

4. Mileage

Another item to consider is the mileage of the vehicle.  Many car parts and components start to go bad between 75,000 and 100,000 miles.  Make sure to find out what parts could need to be replaced before purchasing any used vehicle.

You might think you’re getting a great deal and then end up with thousands of dollars in repairs a few weeks or months later.  Check to see if the previous owner used Toyota OEM parts, this will ensure the car was well taken care of.

If you consider all of these things before buying your next used Toyota, you will end up with the best one for you.
