Secondly, we'll cover the last four generations of the Toyota Camry, going back to 2002:
2002 To 2006 Camry
Toyota redesigned the 2002 Camry from the ground up. Sharing a platform with the new Highlander midsize crossover, it came standard with a 2.4-liter four-cylinder or an optional 3.0-liter V6. In 2004, Toyota added the SE trim to the Camry lineup and an optional 3.3-liter V6.
The 2004 to 2008 Toyota Camry Solara is also part of this generation. Offered as either a coupe or convertible, it shared most of its mechanical parts with the sedan. However, the performance was slightly better than the sedan due to the lower curb weight and sleeker body style.

2007 To 2011 Camry
The 2007 Camry debuted to positive reviews, including being named Motor Trend's Car of the Year. It retained the 2.4-liter four-cylinder but received a new 268 horsepower 3.5-liter V6, making it the quickest Camry to date.
A hybrid powertrain was also available for the first time, allowing the Camry to get up to 34 mpg on the highway. It used the second generation of Toyota's Hybrid Synergy Drive (HSD) with a four-cylinder engine and an electric motor to produce a combined 188-horsepower.

2012 To 2017 Camry
In 2012, Toyota gave the Camry more aggressive styling with a bolder, chiseled look. It retained the hybrid and V6 engine powertrain options from the previous generation and featured a revised 2.5-liter four-cylinder as standard equipment.
The Camry maintained its ride comfort while also providing confident handling and composure on twisty back roads. Further improvements were part of the 2015 refresh, which saw revised interior and exterior styling. Performance, including fuel economy, acceleration, and braking, also improved incrementally, keeping the Camry at the head of the midsize pack.

2018 To Present Camry
Building on the success of the sportier 2012 to 2017 Camry, Toyota went all-in for the 2018 model year. It adopted Toyota's new modular platform, which offered better handling courtesy of a lower center of gravity, less weight, and a more rigid frame. Styling took on an even more aggressive appearance, and a range of new, more powerful engines turned up the wick on performance. The hybrid powertrain gained more power and improved fuel economy, proving to be well-suited for the Camry.

How To Locate Your Paint Code
Inside the driver's door, there is an identification plate that includes information about your vehicle, including the build date, configuration, options, and paint code. Every factory color has a unique code to identify the paint formula needed to match the paint.
It's important to use this paint code instead of trying to match the paint visually. Many colors look similar under different lighting conditions. Likewise, your Camry's paint color may appear different from the paint code sample. Using the correct paint code will help ensure you get the right match, whether you're buying touch-up paint for minor chips and scratches or planning on repainting parts of your vehicle.
