Got an itch for an old FJ45 pickup? eBay has one up on auction right now that just needs some finish work. Check out this 1966 Toyota FJ45 LWB pickup.
The seller’s eBay page says the truck comes with 90 percent of the items needed to finish it and are in the photos. It is a removable top FJ with a custom center console. A Ram Jet 350 crate motor paired to a rebuilt 700 R4 transmission powers this beast. It is sitting on 37″ tires.
We like how this truck comes with all the pieces to finish it, a convertible top and meaty tires to go along with the suspension. While it may seem “vanilla” to some, this type of restoration could be a lot of fun to finish and drive.
The FJ45 is a cousin to the FJ40 and is the long-wheelbase 4×4 version of it. It was available in two-door or three-door hardtop and a four-door station wagon. It also came with a stock two-door model as well. Toyota built these models for the U.S. from 1960 to 1984. It was also available in Brazil from 1958-2001.
It includes other items like:
- 4 linked with Fox shocks and piggy backs
- New 4.56 ring and pinons front and rear
- Three speed transfer case
- 4 wheel disc brakes
- Butch Built cage, rock sliders, power steering conversion and front bumper
- Custom dual battery boxes sunk into the bed
- Rust-free body
On the interior, it has:
- Ididit steering column
- Dakota digital gauges
- Set up for AC
The seller says you must pick it up in Reno, Nevada. Bidding will end on May 20 and it has a buy it now price of $20k. If you win the truck, let us know!
