When Scion shuts down next year, the FR-S name will go out with it. Fortunately, starting in 2017, Toyota will replace the FR-S with the 86, adding a little more power and styling. Speedhunters’ Kieth Charvonia had just $15,000 and 90 days to put together this FR-S Mod that won the Scion Tuner Challenge at SEMA 2015! This mod boasts 300 hp thanks to a Cosworth Supercharger. Custom wheels with a louvered hood tie it all together.

This Japanese FR-S build boasts a sleek set of Volk Racing TE37SL wheels and increased stopping performance thanks to a set of AP Racing Brakes.

3. The Minty FReSh

This 2012 Scion Tuner Challenge winner is just as fresh as it looks. The Minty FReSh FR-S has a molded body that gives it cleaner lines, and an upgraded interior makes the ride more comfortable than ever.

Cartel Customs’ Jeremy Lookofsky built up this semi-topless FR-S for SEMA 2014. A removable roof and Azzuro California Blue paint job made this mod look good, while a KW Coilover Suspension and GReddy Street Turbo Kit highlight the enhanced performance under the hood.

Takata Racing had its hands full building this FR-S mod that could slay the streets and kill the track at the same time. An extensive carbon fiber body and GReddy intake push extra power while a Whiteline Shift Kit and sway bars add to the overall performance.

6. Dynosty Turbo

For a mere $17,914, you can purchase the Dynosty Turbo Build for your FR-S. Note this is the same package that broke the ¼ mile pass at 11.1 seconds, topping out at 127.9 mph. With a package that includes a Haltech Boost Controller and a Dynosty Turbo Feed Pipe, you’ll be feeling the kick the second you touch the pedal.
